About Us

Special Arrangements, owned and operated by John and Treva Brunner, is a home based events decorating service dedicated to providing high quality, artistic, and professional decorations to suit our customers needs, tastes, and budgets.

Our first decorating experiences happened as part of our involvement with the booster club of our local team in the Major Indoor Soccer League. At the end of each season the club had an awards banquet for the team which called for some decorations. We became acquainted with another club member who was employed by Pioneer Balloon Company. She provided us with educational materials which the company published and we were hooked.

Later, when our daughters and the daughter of a close friend all got married within ten months, we did almost everything except the flowers for the weddings but missed seeing our daughters leave the church because we were so busy doing other things. Afterwards we realized that we could do the same for others to give them the chance to enjoy the entire wedding experience without the extra stress and Special Arrangements was born featuring balloon décor.

Although we now do less balloon work than before, we still maintain our membership in the Qualatex Balloon Network, an international organization of professional decorators. We also attend numerous seminars each year and have trained with internationally acclaimed designers such as Christopher Horne from England, Mark Butler from Australia, and Alberto Falcone from Italy.

We have both completed twelve hours of floral design at Hutchinson Community College and attend numerous floral design shows each year.
